Hospital wide
Viecuri
Viecuri started using the app because patients expressed a need for more and better information about their treatment.

Benefits for VieCuri
"The advantage of the app is that patients can be better informed in their own time. For professionals, this results in fewer unnecessary questions, allowing more time for 'real' care."
"We are currently using the app for CAG/PC procedures (heart catheterization) but will soon also use it for patients receiving a pacemaker. The app has been in use for some time in the Orthopaedics department, and recently, it is being rolled out hospital-wide."
"For the professional, fewer unnecessary questions and more time for 'real' care."
Feedback from the patient
"Most patients who provide us with feedback are positive about using the app. However, the number of older patients using the app remains limited, as they often do not have a tablet or smartphone."
Future
"For the future, I would like to see the app continuously being updated with videos and illustrations, preferably from official scientific associations. We would also like to conduct follow-up measurements using PROMs through the app after treatment. Additionally, we hope to see integration with the electronic patient records (EPRs) so that we can exchange data between different systems.
Furthermore, we wish for the app to be part of the overall patient information process, ensuring that consistent information is provided across the website, patient portal, and through phone interactions with secretaries and assistants. This way, the impact of the app will be even greater."
